After seeing the Vaticanwe had some lunch at a cafe then we made our way to the colosseum, which was only about ten minutes away.
The hugest structure of its type in the ancient Rome, the elliptical-shaped Colosseum, took about ten years to build. The centre of Ancient Rome where the gladiatorial and animal combats were held.
I have taken lots of photos, it's not the same as being there but is will give you some idea, the only thing missing is Russell Crowe!
