We are back in Venice, seeing a different side to the tour, look at all the people in the street, it is so

Train to Venice

We left the sheraton hotel this morning for the train station in Rome, which is forty minutes away.
We board our train at 11.50 and nearly had our luggage stolen by gypsies! We were getting on the
train and a there was one on the carriage as we were getting on and another behind, the one on the
platform grabbed one of our cases and we managed to save it!!

We are now on the train and travelling at 248 kilometres, this is some of the beautiful views.

We are arriving in Venice at three thirty this afternoon.

Back in rome

We went to our farewell dinner in Rome, they serve all their meals like this, we have an antipasta, then an entree and main and finally dessert.

Joe and Vic from our tour

   Rae, Nicole and Karen

After dinner we returned to the hotel for final farewell drinks

We had a lovely time, tomorrow we leave Rome by train for Venice where we will spend two nights

Siena

After leaving Florence, I have accidentally deleted my photos so I will have to post these photos when I receive copies from our tour friends, we travelled two hours to reach Siena for a coffe break and try some of their special pastries and biscuits.

The old arch entrance

   Psychiatric hospital

Very hilly in Siena, with quaint little shops

These little cars are allowed to be driven by fourteen year olds!!

The streets are really only wide enough for a single car

   Romulus and Remus

The huge tower in the square which you can climb, it has over four hundred steps

These are everywhere in the town, it's where they used to tie their horses up.

This is the city square, which is huge.

   Another church

   Better view of the tower

This is the postie's cute little car

Back in the bus and heading to Rome

   Beautiful Tuscan country side

Beautiful little towns everywhere, we will be in Rome by three thirty, about another two and a half hours where will be having our farewell dinner.
