Dubrovnik

First views of Dubrovnik as we arrive in the morning, due to dock at 8.00 am

We are at the port but there are so many cruise ships already there, here they are lowering the tenders which we will be transferred to shore by and they hold 120 people and it was a very slow process to get there!

   Condominiums on the water

Dubrovnik is a stunningly intact walled city on the Adriatic Sea coast of the extreme south of
    Croatia

   Looking down the streets

Climbing up the stairs to start the walk around the walls

   Looking into the city

   From the wall

Dubrovnik City walls run uninterrupted for 1940 meters (6365 feet) encircling the City. The City of Dubrovnik is completely surrounded with defensive walls and forts, including the Old Port.

    Looking across from the wall

The characteristic appearance of Dubrovnik is unmistakable as no other city in the world has retained their medieval walls so perfectly.

A great shot of the walls

    Very old ruins

The walls go far and wide

   This is the cable car
